Antony Lewis is the father of Conrad Lewis – a soldier who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011, along with his comrade Lewis Hendry.

Conrad and Lewis were killed by the same bullet while on patrol in Helmand Province.  Since their deaths, Antony has set up a charitable trust called 353.
